ArcView fabricates custom aluminum perimeter fencing, louvered privacy screens and pedestrian, swing and sliding gates for commercial, multi-residential and institutional sites across Canada. Panels and gates are made to the site plan, powder coated to a specified colour and supplied with post and footing details, with supply-only or supply-and-install from Toronto and Vancouver.

Systems
Each system is a starting point for shop drawings, not a catalogue item. Sections, spacings and heights are set by the project.
Vertical blade fence
Extruded rectangular blades on horizontal rails, with the blade gap set to the required visibility. The most common contemporary commercial fence profile.

Louvered privacy screen
Angled louvre blades that block the line of sight completely while letting air through. The right system for garbage enclosures, mechanical yards and terrace dividers.

Horizontal slat fence
Horizontal aluminum slats in a U-channel frame, with a small gap for a strong horizontal line. Available in wood-grain finishes where a timber look is specified.

Spear-top perimeter fence
Picket fencing with cast aluminum spear or ring detailing for institutional, heritage-district and campus perimeters where a traditional profile is required.

Full-privacy insert panel fence
Solid aluminum insert panels slotted between posts for complete screening, with optional decorative or perforated top sections.

Swing & sliding gates
Pedestrian swing gates and vehicle swing or cantilever sliding gates fabricated to match any of the fence systems above, with provisions for operators and access control.

- Cantilever sliding gates to approximately 4 m clear single leaf; double-leaf swing gates for wider openings

Detailed to the site, not to a catalogue
Commercial fencing is governed less by the building code than by municipal by-laws, site plan approval and the substrate. These are the items ArcView confirms before detailing.
- Height limits
- Municipal fence by-laws set maximum heights at street edges and property lines; the site plan approval often sets the required height for enclosures
- Pool and amenity enclosures
- Enclosure by-laws set minimum heights, opening limits and self-closing, self-latching gate requirements; these vary by municipality and are checked per site
- Footings
- In-ground posts are set below the local frost depth; flanged posts on slabs are anchored to the structural engineer's slab detail
- Grade changes
- Raked or stepped panels are detailed from the site survey so gaps at the bottom rail stay within the by-law limit
- Gates and automation
- Automated vehicle gates are detailed with the entrapment-protection provisions the operator manufacturer requires
ArcView reviews the site plan and by-law requirements with the consultant before shop drawings. Fence heights and gate hardware are not selected from a standard list.
How we work
- STEP 1
Drawings & scope
Send architectural drawings, a site plan or a marked-up photo set. We confirm scope, code path and finish options and return a budget range.
- STEP 2
Shop drawings & engineering
ArcView prepares shop drawings for the specific site. Where the authority having jurisdiction requires it, drawings are reviewed and stamped by a licensed engineer in the project's province.
- STEP 3
Finish & sample approval
Powder-coat colour is matched to a RAL reference or an existing building finish. A coated sample and a section sample are approved before fabrication starts.
- STEP 4
Fabrication
Extruded 6063-T5 aluminum profiles are cut, welded or mechanically joined to the shop drawings, then powder coated in a controlled process.
- STEP 5
Delivery & installation
Supply-only to the general contractor, or supply and install by ArcView crews. Both are available across Canada.
Finish options
Architectural powder coat
AAMA 2604 exterior-grade powder coating as standard; AAMA 2605 super-durable coating specified for coastal BC and other high-exposure sites.
Colour matching
Any RAL reference or an existing window, curtain wall or cladding colour. Satin black, charcoal, graphite grey, off-white and bronze are the most specified on commercial work.
Wood-grain sublimation
Heat-transfer wood-grain finish over powder coat for slat fences and privacy screens where a timber look is wanted without timber maintenance.
Anodized
Clear or bronze anodizing available for louvers and feature panels where a metallic finish is preferred to a painted one.
