Limited Warranty

All warranty periods begin on the date of substantial completion of the installation. If installation is delayed at the customer's request or by force majeure, the period begins on the actual installation date. On supply-only orders it begins on the date of delivery.

Coverage is contingent on payment of the contract price in full; it is suspended while any balance is outstanding.

The warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of defective parts, at ArcView's discretion. Where a claim is validated, replacement parts are supplied free of charge. Colour matching is not guaranteed. Repairs or replacements do not extend the original term; the remaining time continues to apply to the repaired part.

If an original part is no longer available, a substitute of equal quality and value may be provided.

• Damage from misuse, alterations, improper handling or improper installation.
• Aluminum surfaces that have been altered, repainted or stained.
• Condensation on interior or exterior glass surfaces caused by humidity or temperature differentials — a natural occurrence, not a defect.
• Exposure to extreme temperatures, corrosive chemicals or gases, or harsh climates beyond the product's specification.
• Installation or labour costs on glass-breakage replacements.
• Any ArcView product compromised by non-ArcView products used with it.

Installation performed by ArcView personnel is warranted for one (1) year from substantial completion, strictly for defects arising from that installation. Building movement, settlement and structural conditions are excluded. After the first year, service calls carry a visit fee that varies with travel distance; travel fees may also apply within the first year.

Products must be installed by qualified professionals; failure to do so voids the warranty. Before installation, confirm the rough opening — generally 1 inch larger than the window or door in width and height, as specified on the shop drawings — and ensure the frame is level, plumb and square. Windows and doors must be fixed with screws through the frame.

The one-year labour warranty does not apply to supply-only orders. ArcView's obligation is limited to supplying replacement parts for covered defects; on-site diagnosis, removal, re-installation, shipping and disposal are the customer's responsibility.

Submit the claim in writing promptly after discovering the defect, with the order number or project address, a description of the defect and, where possible, photos or video. Allow a reasonable period for inspection.

Orders require a minimum 50% deposit before production, with the balance paid in full before shipment or delivery is scheduled. Custom-made products cannot be returned, exchanged or refunded, and no changes are permitted once the contract is signed. Products remain ArcView's property until paid in full. It is the customer's responsibility to confirm that selected products comply with applicable codes and energy-efficiency requirements.
